This blogger is one of my favorites here on wordpress and his posts come up often but I only share once in a while. His macro photography is great. He uses a panasonic lumix, I believe. He told me it doesn’t really matter what kind of camera is used, it’s whatever you’re comfortable using and most any camera will work. I agree that the more experienced the photographer the better the picture will be but I don’t agree that just any camera will work for every photo. Years ago, I bought two Fuji’s. The first one is an S2950 and I still have that camera although I no longer use it and stopped a long time ago because the shutter started sticking. If I’m taking landscape photos it’s not that big of a deal. I can just re-take the picture but when I was trying to photograph animals and birds I would lose a good shot because I had to stop and re-take the photo. The Fuji S2950 was purchased in 2011. In 2012, I purchased a compact Fuji and it did very well. Sometime after this, I bought a small, cheap vivitar and while the vivitar took some good photos others weren’t great and it took a lot more effort to get a good photo. Nevertheless, I took quite a few pictures with it. The purpose was just to see how well the vivitar took pictures. It was fair. In 2015, I got my first smartphone, a Samsung S4 and I started using it for taking pictures out of convenience because I could easily upload to facebook and I was hooked. I never really did go back to using a camera until 2016 when I needed more zoom than my phone could give me and I bought a brand new Fuji(I can’t remember the exact model) 50x which worked great but I had to manually set it it to take better pictures then for some reason I stopped carrying it with me and left it at home. The last time I saw it, it was in the living room and suddenly it’s gone. I’ve looked everywhere and it’s gone. I’m almost certain my husband took it to the pawn shop when he ran out of beer money while I was gone. He denies it but I’m fairly certain he did this because he saw upset I was about the disappearance of my camera.

I’m planning on testing my old Fuji’s to see how well they for video but I really prefer my phone. I am looking into getting a selfie stick and a tripod if I can find one for my phone. I think these would improve my video shooting. I’ll have to test them out.

I love taking pictures of flowers and plants up close and when I got my new Samsung Note 10, which is considered outdated now but considering how much I paid for it I’m not getting a new one until I have to, I started immediately outside a library and it took a bit for the phone to adjust to the way I took pictures and it took great photos. They were so good I was surprised at how good they were. And I was hooked on using my phone. My previous Samsung phone took great pictures and the new Samsung does even better and from research I’ve done online the S21 or S22 does even better. These phones are close to $1000. They’re listed online between $650 and $899. When I do get a new one it has to have the same 256 GB that the one I have now has because it holds all of my photos(1000’s) and my videos(I have about 500 stored). I don’t get my videos uploaded when I take them because there are times when depending on where I am my service may not be good and the videos won’t upload. Last year in Cody, Wyoming nothing would upload, not even a single webpage.

I have been looking into buying another new camera, possibly a Kodak. Walmart has several brands of Kodak. I haven’t decided yet and I have to wait until I get enough money to buy a new camera. The Kodak’s are only $200 but the Canon’s can run upwards of $600 or more.
